Pow Wow 2011

Pow Wow is a fun filled camping extravaganza. It is an action packed weekend meant to challenge, entertain, and more importantly inspire our future men. There will be three days of outdoor activities all culminating into powerful evening services and inspirational messages. This year's special guest speaker is world renowned Illusionist Greg Phillips. Come hear his story of struggle and freedom.

This year we as an outpost would like to recognize the real American Heroes of our Church Family. If you or anyone of your family has ever served in any branch of the military, law enforcement, corrections, fire and rescue, or any other department please let us know by giving us their name and their branch.

Ocoee Christmas Parade Dec. 4th 2010

This year we are planning on entering the Ocoee Christmas parade, which will be on the 4th of December. We will have two trailers that will be decorated, one for the GT Rangers and the other for the GT Girls Ministry. Our floats will be led by our own Color Guard. Entry fee for the parade is a new unwrapped toy which will be donated to the Ocoee Police and Fire Department's Toys for Tot program. We would like to have at least one toy per family participating. Also if you can donate a bag of candy for this, that would be appreciated as well. Starting this Sunday, November 14th, 2010, we will have a large box set up in the foyer of the church to receieve these new unwrapped toys and candy. When we get a time to decorate the trailers we will post it. Thank you all for participating in this event. If you have any questions please contact your child's Commander or GT Girl Ministry Sponsor.

PowWow 2010

PowWow 2010 is over and what an awesome time we had. Three action packed days culminating to God working in the lives of boys on an open hill side. Congratulations to our Outpost for their blue ribbons, the boys and the men worked hard. Also we want to congratulate all of the guys who were inducted into FCF. You guys did a tremendous job and should be proud of yourselves. We also have to take our hats off to the many fathers who stayed in the camp, helped us out with this adventure but more importantly, were blessed and able to spend this time with your boys. I know if they have not said it, they thank you for it.
Well PowWow is over for another year, but our job isn't finished, just because we completed one mission, doesn't mean we won the war. Stay tuned for more briefings about upcoming missions.
And for thos of you who might be feeling battle worn, just remember your sacrifice does not go unnoticed or unappreciated, what you do is tremendous and important and even though you may feel you may not be making a difference you are. You are making the most important difference there is, you are mentoring in the lives of these young men, helping shape them into the men that God wants them to be. Every great nation came forth from one man, and every desert started from one grain of sand.
Keep up the good work and keep flying, until next time, this is flight control out.
